Abstract:Software testing is regarded as one of the most significant stages in software development since it determines whether or not the system fits the user needs and specifications. Software testing may be done in two ways: manually or automatically. Automated testing allows software testers to easily automate the software testing process, making it more efficient in terms of time, cost, and usability. There are several automated testing programmes available, both free source and commercial. This article gives a comparison assessment of characteristics of open source and commercial testing tools, which may assist users in selecting the best software testing tool for their needs.

Vol 6, No 3 (2021): Unique Way to Make Song Play List by Making Faces

Abstract: Music is a reflection of one's emotions. In layman's terms, music connects to a person's emotional or mood condition. We see that new technologies and approaches emerge on a daily basis, and in order to compete, we have developed a music player that is based on the user's mood, as shown through facial expression. Emotions may be identified from a person's face, which is the simplest method for others to identify them. What if we could put this approach (emotion detection) on a machine? We created an application that detects emotion via the machine's webcam and shows a group of musicians known as a playlist based on emotion. We utilised CNN classifier for the neural network model and OpenCV to recognise faces and train the model to detect emotion in this article.

Vol 6, No 3 (2021): Generating Dynamic Indoor Environments with Virtual Reality Markups

Abstract: This research explores the capacity of dynamically generating interactive virtual environments using Virtual Reality Mark-up Framework to build interior environments that can effectively simulate immersive interior environments. The proposed system for this study includes multiple functionalities to create virtual worlds by using Virtual Reality Mark-up Language. Users of this solution can describe the 3D environment they want to build by using natural language or inserting a sketch of the objects to include in the virtual indoor environment, increasing the useability. The main focus of allowing dynamic 3D object generation is to allow users to create virtual environments as in their imagination without using dedicated 3D authoring tools. The virtual environment's users' expectations are extracted using co reference resolution and dependency parsing from text format. On the other hand, the sketches representing 3D objects drawn by users are identified using image processing techniques such as contour approximation and edge detection. Once the virtual 3D environment is created using those inputs, the system allows the user to manipulate virtual objects in the 3D environment using hand gestures and morphing techniques. This functionality enhances the immersion of the virtual reality experience. Moreover, the system allows navigating within the environment as an avatar using voice commands in the Sinhala language. Even though there had been some research and applications developed using Virtual Reality (VR) with 3D modelling, this solution is unique and much more dynamic in generating and manipulating the 3D environments than the systems currently available.

Vol 6, No 3 (2021): Software Testing Automation Process Optimization for Web-based Applications

Abstract: In modern era enormous number of software systems are built as web-based applications which run on a web browser. This trend has been emerged to cater the high demand coming from massive population around the globe. Agile and extreme programming like software development methodologies have been introduced for the development of application within a short period of time to fulfil the rapidly changing customer requirements. As a result, software systems have been developed within short development cycles. In agile development methodology a working piece of software is being developed within an iteration which is about two weeks’ time. The time remaining for testing phase is very limited in agile development methodology and required level of testing coverage cannot be fulfilled through the manual testing approach Automation testing is identified as the solution for this problem. But testers have experienced some limitations with the automation testing approach also. Faults injected in the initial phase of the test automation process will result in huge system failures and also will badly affect to the reputation of the organization which is responsible for that particular product or service. Furthermore, the initial phase of the test automation life cycle is very much time consuming and resource consuming. This will result in inability to meet the deadlines. Therefore, it has been identified that optimization of the initial phase of the software test automation process helps to optimize the entire software test automation process.

This research study is mainly focused on the optimization of the three identified sub process in the initial phase of the software test automation life cycle. Study is continued to find methodologies to optimize the test automation tool selection process, test automation framework selection process and process of selection and prioritization of the test cases for automation.

Abstract: When we install a software product it creates a lot of textual information called as logs. These logs get stored either in flat files unstructured or in database tables. This text information contains vital information to allow identification of problems that the software is experiencing. Many software products have predictable text information that can be shown and remediated, however over period of time and various complex infrastructure its possible it may show new type of information that may not have seen before or we may not have a solution for if. This is lifecycle of any product, however having a cloud based learning engine and utilizing the power of multiple machine learning algorithms we are able to not only classify the information but also put a technical sentiment called Techniment that states if someone is wrong and what is wrong. Similar to human emotion we use the same terminology.

Text summary is the process of condensing a huge amount of information into a smaller amount while retaining all of the key aspects. Text pre-processing and processing are two processes in the text summarization process. In this proposed work, we will examine the many procedures involved in Hindi Text Pre-Processing, then determine the Pre-Processing time of a particular Hindi data set, and then compare the Pre-Processing time of different dataset sizes.

Abstract: Nowadays clustering takes a crucial role in data mining. Clustering stands for grouping similar data items into a single place. Inside the cluster there is high intra cluster similarity. In real world Social sites data, marketing, banking and industrial data as going on increasing day by day. To handle those data is also a major problem which involves some privacy issues. All existing systems use normal clustering techniques that can reduces the mining process but there is lack of sensitive information and effort to mine data is complex. So the proposed Map Reduce based privacy preserving techniques will efficiently outsource the data into cloud and clustering operations performed on data being encrypted. Compared with existing methods, proposed framework will give accurate results and suitable for cloud data.

Abstract: From thinking about building an application to production, there are many tools we require for the stress-free development of a system using the software development life cycle. Connecting agile methods with different technology domains such as blockchain, web-based application in the software development cycle is a task on which specific consideration was taken. In any software development process using the agile method for critical situations is a good idea as it will work on the user’s experience and can change the system according to the requirements in short and tight deadlines. Agile method provide the facility to adapt to the selected type of systems that will be developed.

This paper describes the solutions taken for patients for their ease, comfort and confidentiality using technology. In this digitalized world where everything operates online, we are designing an application using angular.js and react.js for front-end and node.js, mongoDB as well as dataset manipulation as back-end and blockchain for transaction security. It will allow the user to make an appointment online for any specific department such as ENT, cardiology, neurology, etc. of the selected hospital in India which will reduce the waiting time for the patient.Self assessment feature will help them finding the disease according to their symptoms.[1]

Vol 6, No 1 (2021): Prediction of Cognitive State of Human Mind from EEG Signals using Quantum Computational Techniques

Abstract: The utilization of quantum states for the representation of information and the advances in machine learning is considered as an efficient way of modeling the working of complex systems. The states of mind or judgment outcomes are highly complex phenomena that happen inside the human body. Decoding these states is significant for improving the quality of technology and providing an impetus to scientific research aimed at understanding the functioning of the human mind. One of the key advantages of quantum wave-functions over conventional classical models is the existence of configurable hidden variables, which provide more data density due to its exponential state-space growth. These hidden variables correspond to the amplitudes of each probable state of the system and allow for the modeling of various intricate aspects of measurable and observable physical quantities. This makes the quantum wave-functions powerful and felicitous to model cognitive states of the human mind, as it inherits the ability to efficiently couple the current context with past experiences temporally and spatially to approach an appropriate future cognitive state. This paper implements and compares some techniques like Variational Quantum Classifiers (VQC), quantum annealing classifiers, and hybrid quantum-classical neural networks, to harness the power of quantum computing for processing cognitive states of the mind by making use of EEG data. It also introduces a novel pipeline by logically combining some of the aforementioned techniques, to predict future cognitive responses. The preliminary results of these approaches are presented and are very encouraging with up to 61.53% validation accuracy.

Abstract: Our life involves information systems almost everywhere and everything. Information systems are formal and organized systems with a set of components involved in the collection, processing, storage and distribution of information. A computer information system is a combination of user and computer to process or interpret information. In this paper, we try to review the overall information system and its evolution. We focus on the evolution of the Roman abacus’ information system as early as 2400 BC to modern technologies in the present world. We discuss the basic components and development stage of information systems and several types of information systems used for several purposes in our daily lives. Finally, we develop an Appointment Management System (AMS) to provide patients or any customer an easy way of booking a doctor’s appointment online. The information system is implemented using PHP, MySQL, JQuery, JavaScript, standard HTML and CSS, and the system will work on internet web browsers. We use three user modules for this system; those are - (1) Patient Module, (2) Doctor Module, and (3) Admin Module. The database mainly designs for some specific access such as additional information, modifying information, delete information, and search information.

Vol 5, No 3 (2020): Use of Machine Learning Methods for Air Quality Estimation

Abstract: People have been paying greater attention to air quality in recent years since it has such a direct impact on people's health and day-to-day lives. In air pollution, weather and transportation conditions, the use of petroleum derivatives, and mechanical boundaries all play important roles. Successful air quality expectation has become one of the most hotly debated topics. Machine Learning is one way that might open up new possibilities for air pollution prediction. As a result, the objective behind this study and implementation project is to anticipate and classify air quality. Different categorization and prediction methods have been applied here. The objective is to construct a system that can categorise the processed data into defined classes later by applying data pre-processing such as data purification and feature selection. For the prediction of the next day's pollution, this system employed the Support Vector Machine and Nave Bayes. Based on fundamental characteristics such as Particulate matter (PM2), temperature, and pressure, the system assists in predicting future pollution details, assessing pollution details, and forecasting future pollution. As a result, willing to apply machine learning skills to the environmental area in order to create a pollution-free society.

Vol 5, No 3 (2020): An Assessment of Electronic Test System (ETS) for Academic Purpose

Abstract:-The electronic test system (ETS) will aid in accelerating the assessment process. Examiners will be able to administer tests by combining a collection of questions. The questions might be multiple choice or include a written solution. The approach will have the capability of automating the processing of assessment findings depending on the question that the administrator has entered into the database. The methodology will have the intelligence to choose writing-based solutions when there is not only an exact match, but it will also locate similar answers by checking/scanning synonyms for the words used in the answer. The ETS methodology engine will also provide us with a manual override specification, which allows the examiner to manually pick up or amend an exam's result. For examiners, candidates, and Super Admin, the technique will provide an easy-to-use interface. An examiner or a candidate might be anyone. After logging in, the applicant will be able to view the assessments that are due and will be able to take them.

 

The major goal of an online network-based Electronic Test System is to successfully construct a concept to comprehensively analyse the application using a completely automated process that not only saves you time but also provides faster and more precise results. Candidates may take the test at their leisure from any location via the internet, and there is no need for additional materials such as pens, papers, and so on.

Abstract: The Intra College Examination System (ICES) project is an online site that was created to assist students in practising numerous mock examinations. Many assessments, such as placement and training, as well as college symposium events, may now be done through Intranet and Internet, according to current trends. By taking sample assessments from this portal, pupils may become ready for online examinations. There are two modules in the intra-college examination system portal: student examination and staff examination. Students will be able to readily learn about assessment information thanks to the staff module, which will include several courses under various branches. In the student examination module, students must register with the application and select courses that they are interested in, after which they may take the test online.

Vol 5, No 3 (2020): Effectiveness of Face Recognition System with Human Face Detection Learning Technique for Students

Abstract: Background: Computer engineering education has called for a shift from the acquisition of Artificial Intelligence (AI) knowledge to the development of professional skills.

 

Objectives: The study aims to assess the effectiveness of using different Teaching-Learning Methods and Media in the improvement in each of the Cognitive, and Affective Skills among computer science students.

 

Material and Methods: A study was conducted among 11th-semester B.Sc. and 1st-semester M.Sc. students in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. It was before and after comparison non-randomized study. The test was conducted after teaching by the traditional methods and after teaching using Blend of Different Teaching-Learning Methods and Media - a combination of lecture with FERET videos, photograph, exercises, role play and group discussions of an accompanying Microsoft PowerPoint slideshow. Marks obtained were recorded, and analysis of data was done.

 

Results: The face is one of the easiest ways to distinguish the individual identity of each other. Face recognition is a personal identification system that uses the personal characteristics of a person to identify a person's identity. The human face recognition procedure basically consists of two phases, namely face detection, where this process takes place very rapidly in humans, except under conditions where the object is located at a short distance away, the next is the introduction, which recognizes a face as individuals. The stage is then replicated and developed as a model for facial image recognition (face recognition) is one of the much-studied biometrics technology and developed by experts. There are two kinds of methods that are currently popular in developed face recognition patterns namely, the Eigenface method and the Fisherface method.

 

Facial image recognition Eigenface method is based on the reduction of face dimensional space using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) for facial features. The main purpose of the use of PCA on face recognition using Eigenfaces was formed (face space) by finding the eigenvector corresponding to the largest eigenvalue of the face image.

This paper focuses on the digital effect of Blockchain Technology on the automotive supply chain, the transition from a linear to an interconnected chain structure, and industry issues.

Abstract:-A time table management system is a project which is developed to provide better support for staff in a college. The time table management system provides a function to create and view the specific staff and student's time table. This system also contains a database that stores staff and student allotted subject details and notifications before time. A college timetable is a temporal arrangement of a set of staff and students in which all given constraints are satisfied. Hence we have developed a practical approach for building staff and student timetable systems, which can be customized to fit any college timetable system. Each staff and student can view their timetable once they are finalized for a given semester and can also edit the timetable. The timetable module acts as a robust platform to forecast.

Vol 5, No 2 (2020): Personalize Recommendation Approach for Web Search in E-Learning

Abstract: In the e-learning context, a recommender system is a software agent that tries to "intelligently" recommend actions to a learner based on previous learners' actions. These recommendation systems have been tried in e-commerce to entice purchasing of goods, but haven't been tried in e-learning. The majority of current web-based learning systems are closed learning environments where courses and learning materials are fixed and the only dynamic aspect is the organization of the material that can be adapted to allow a relatively individualized learning environment.

 

The proposed system is based on four modules: Web search Module, student Profiling Module, Behavioral Activity analyzer module, and recommendation module. The web search Module is a way of searching for anything that the user or student wants from the Google search engine. A student Profiling Module takes Students all Personal and Academic Information, and Behavioral Activity analyzer module is used to identify learners learning preferences and all activities which are done at the time of web surfing by students and a recommendation module which pre-processes data to create a suitable recommendation list and predicting the student interest domain. After the recommendation process, we calculate the Knowledge Point (KP) of a particular student based on KP value it categories the student into three levels 1. Beginner 2. Intermediate 3. Master. Several techniques, such as classification, clustering, and association rules, are used to improve personalization with filtering techniques to provide a recommendation and help learners improve their performance.

 

The e-learning field research has gained more and more attention thanks to the recent explosive use of the Internet. However, Web-based learning environments are becoming very popular. In a virtual classroom, educators provide text, multimedia and simulations, and moderate and animate discussions. Remote learners are encouraged to peruse the resources and participate in activities.

Abstract: The User Interface (UI) is a component of a system that serves as an intermediary between the user and the system, assisting the user in efficiently engaging with the system. The user interface is everything that the end-user interacts with physically, perceptually, and cognitively when using the system. The suggested user interface is the system itself to the end-user. As a result, the system's usability remains one of the most important factors in assessing the overall quality of any software system. We recognised the many details in creating an effective User Interface for the Milk Processing Industry in this project. All of these points are briefly addressed with an appropriate example. The purpose of user interface design is to make user interaction as easy and efficient as feasible in order to achieve the user's objectives (user-centered design).

Abstract: The placement activities play a vital role in student career. At present, all the Training, Placement and Club (Technical club, Orators club, Audio Visual club) activities information is being maintained manually. Hence it is prone to errors. It is time consuming process for collecting, managing and updating the student lists and it depends on the number of students. So we are proposing a computerized automation module to speed up the process.

Unlike other stacks which use multiple programming languages, such as the old fashioned LAMP stack, the MEAN stack only uses one scripting language JavaScript. This gives one programmer much more power over the whole workflow than in other systems. Using the same programming language in both the front and back ends of the application has multiple benefits. The main benefit is that it makes data communication between server and client simpler and faster. It makes modifications at either end easier. It also promotes reusing code across the multiple technologies that in turn helps keep the application secure and stable.

 By using this technology, we are developing an application that helps in simplifying and reducing the work of placement and club activities.

Abstract: This paper brings out the design patterns based on the different services available in internet banking. The Pattern oriented Software Architecture uses the pattern which delete the complexity of reusability in a particular situation. BPM are used to design the patterns based on cross cutting concepts in various process. Based on the BPM implement the pattern for internet banking. The study and detection of different variety of processes in Net Banking, for detecting the powerful cross cutting methods, pattern has been designed, as the reusability part to be used by the Software designer. Those methods are solving the frequent problem based on verified solutions. So this gives the support to know the architecture of the available software.
