Abstract: Traditionally, supply-chain networks have been straight, with distinct movements of configuration, source, plan, and convey. The basis of an open, dynamic, and linked supply chain – Digital Supply Chain (DSN) – appears to be a future idea with the advent of Industry 4.0. The traditional Supply Chain Management (SCM) business model, such as logistics, quality control, inventory management, and forecasting, has been redefined by blockchain to improve the accountability, traceability, and auditability of products movement from suppliers, manufacturing units, warehouse / distribution centres, and consumers across the supply chain. This paper focuses on the digital effect of Blockchain Technology on the automotive supply chain, the transition from a linear to an interconnected chain structure, and industry issues.
