Dr. Ritu Sharma, Ankit Verma

Abstract

The growing environmental concerns and resource scarcity have necessitated a shift from linear to circular economic models. Circular economy (CE) emphasizes reducing waste, extending product life cycles, and maximizing resource efficiency. This paper explores the adoption of circular-economy business models in the context of refurbished and upcycled products, as well as product-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings. The study examines strategic marketing approaches for these sustainable offerings, identifies challenges, and discusses opportunities for businesses to create value while addressing ecological and social responsibilities. The research underscores the need for integrating marketing innovation with circular business strategies to enhance consumer acceptance and profitability.
