Vol 1, No 2 (2021): The Entrepreneurial Skills of the Rural Women Artisans of West Bengal

Authors: Surabhi Ganguly, Tarun Majumdar, Dr. Shonal Bose

Abstract:

A prominent role is played by women in promoting economic prosperity in our society. The opportunity brought about by globalization to achieve equal standing between men and women has not yet been realized. The fight for equal rights and the economic necessities that go along with it leads to more women financially supporting their families in order to share the load of their spouses and taking care of the family. In the present day, the increase in women's entrepreneurial education has a strong influence on a wide range of industrial and economic growth areas. Handicrafts are especially well-suited to a vast number of artists and craftspeople, with a huge potential market, as long as the majority of artisans possess the inherent talent of being a vocation. Women of West Bengal have featured prominently in "Needle and Thread" weaving, as have women in other regions. A strong and rising rural economy is vitally dependent on the ability of women to run their own businesses. Through the use of a Relative Important Index, this study sought to investigate the entrepreneurial capacity of rural women of West Bengal, particularly their leadership capabilities (RII). In addition to developing marketing infrastructure, the government should also aid in providing economic opportunities and sufficient finances for women entrepreneurs in order to foster entrepreneurship for women and to ensure their economic position is suitable.

Vol 1, No 1 (2021): A Study on the Role of Women Business Entrepreneurs in the Education Sector

Authors: Neeta Mishra

Abstract: This article takes a closer look at the work of women in the education sector. The report describes the strides achieved by women in the education sector in getting a start in business. Women prefer being employed as teachers or in education-related fields, and work as teachers or as professionals in the field of education are the preferred careers they seek. Also, for most women, it is a struggle to make ends meet and to balance work and home life with a full-time schedule. Even today, women aren't simply employed in the traditional workplace as employees, but they are contributing to the business world through entrepreneurship. Doing what you like and working the manner you want is a great way to experience joy and achieve great results. Following World War II, women have become more active in the work world. As traditional female jobs have evolved, from jobs that were specific to women, to all options formerly in the realm of "male-dominated" endeavours, paid employment of women has completely transformed. Women have made significant contributions in many different industries, such as the food business, packaging, textile industry, and even the educational sector. The food business is one of the most popular choices for women entrepreneurs. “Lizzat & Papad†is the epitome of love and hate, love and hate. In our minds, when we think of school, we see a woman in a dress wearing a teacher's cap. Only women may be employed at the Montessori level because they have the aptitude and the capacity to manage young children easily, to demonstrate patience, and to assist in teaching them the principles of education while being warm and kind. There would be no Montessori school and primary school if it were not for female instructors. In the majority of cases, women hold positions of authority in secondary schools. In addition, women are working in the Director job, the Dean position, the Head of the Department position, the Registrar position, the Chief Executive Officer job, and the Education Officer role. Several women have transformed themselves into business leaders in the education industry as well. The transition for them from being a play school, or a private school, to now becoming coaching courses and skill development centres is rather significant. When it comes to employment, women concentrate on the finer points. They like quality, and they do everything they can to make sure all the smaller details are taken care of.

Vol 1, No 1 (2021): A Significant Role of Entrepreneurship in the Socio-Economic Development of Rural People in Assam

Authors: Suhashini Gupte

Abstract: This report attempts to offer a general outline of the contributions that rural women of Assam are making towards social and economic development. The vital role of women in helping to meet the millennium development objectives is among the crucial issues that must be confronted. To do this, we must encourage women to engage in social and economic activities on a constant basis. Practically, the issue has been rendered immaterial since women are enslaved by societal discriminations such as gender inequality, as well as by a lack of education, domestic violence, and other other issues. In order to enhance the socioeconomic position of rural women, numerous programmes have been implemented by the government. However, to successfully implement these plans, society will need to completely modify its views on what is considered normal. Self-help organisations work with rural women to promote education and entrepreneurial transformation, and such changes are more likely to occur when women are aware of these options. Being self-sufficient and monetarily independent permits them to run their own business.

Authors: S. Ramesh, Dr .k. Gayathri Rao

Abstract: To be an entrepreneur, you must be an active doer, not just a dreamer. A notable shift in the Indian society has been the change in educational statuses of women and the different demands for social superiority, as demonstrated by the increasing number of women pursuing post-secondary education. There has been an increase in the number of female entrepreneurial activities, and this translates into progress for women's rights and improved economic and social well-being. Women's entrepreneurship is a testament of women's empowerment. Entrepreneurship is a great and unending source of fascination, since individuals get a kick out of building something from nothing and getting it to operate. at this particular moment, it is imperative to boost the number of women who have started their own business. In addition to the male counterparts, female entrepreneurs are very active in creating jobs, stimulating innovation, and adding significantly to the Gross National Product of the country. In order for an economy to grow, women must be given an equal playing field as men. Innovation and technology are undoubtedly the accelerator for starting a business. Despite addressing many of the societal difficulties, Indian women have gained in stature from their counterparts and are held in high regard for their achievements in their various fields. Women-owned businesses play a critical role in the economic stimulation of other small businesses, as well as in producing new job prospects for the overall U.S. economy. Despite the improvements achieved in gender equality, the Indian society still fails to bridge the gap between men and women in regards to education, job, and business. The goal of this research is to supply some information that is missing from this gap and to investigate the existing research pertaining to Women as Entrepreneurs in the field of engineering. The fundamental relevance of our research is to help businesses and the people in these organisations know more about the way women entrepreneurs operate. This includes helping to uncover the profile of women entrepreneurs, discovering their difficulties, specifying the mechanisms that assist women, and illustrating the expectations and demands that women entrepreneurs have.
