Abstract:- A tourist’s past experiences, affinity with the natural and cultural heritage and socio-economic status influences their perception about a destination. The objective of this study is to find out the role of tourist perceptions in the promotion of not so prominent tourist destinations and how these destinations can be brought to the tourists map to have uninterrupted inflow of tourists throughout the year. The present study was focused on Ananthagiri Hills, Vikarabad, Telangana. In order to carry out this study, a structured survey was undertaken among tourists and the tourism stakeholders associated with the destination with the help of a questionnaire, to get to know the impact of tourist perception on the growth of demand of specific destinations. The findings of the study depict that since the destination is a hill station, majority of tourist inflow is during the monsoons and summer seasons, adequate marketing mix should be adopted so as to maintain year long inflow of tourists at the destination.

Abstract:-Today tourism has emerged as one of the most important commercial practices for development. Tourism Act as a tool for employment generation, poverty alleviation and substantial human development. It is an important segment of countries economic development especially in terms of its contribution towards foreign exchange earnings, generation of additional income and creation of employment opportunity. The ever-growing pilgrimage tourism sector is likely to determine the future of our economy. The governments are now ready to invest crores of rupees for developing this sector. In a land like Kerala, rich in cultural and traditional values, embedded with scene and beautiful landscape and different places, with large quantities of untapped cultural and natural resources, pilgrimage tourism has a vast scope for expansion. The researcher concluded that pilgrimage tourism has an important role in the socio-economic development and it helps to improve the standard of living of people in the Ramapuram Grama Panchayath.
Vol 1, No 1 (2019): A Study on Potential Tenants’ Perception towards Service Apartment

Abstract:Â A Service apartment is a fully furnished apartment available for both short term as well as long-term stays, providing all the hotel-like amenities, such as having room service, a fitness center, a laundry room. Most of them are equipped with full kitchens, Wi-Fi and washer and dryers inside. This study was undertaken to understand the perception of the potential tenants towards service apartment. The constructs are Location, Preference, Facilities, Recommendations, Past Experience, Advertising channels which finally lead to selection of a service apartment. It is a descriptive research and the population used for this study is potential tenants who can afford to rent service apartments in Chennai. The sample of 120 potential tenants is selected through convenience sampling. The findings of the research inferred that majority of the respondents consider location with easy access to transport facilities as most important factor in selection of the service apartment.
