Authors: Aarav Patel

Abstract: This paper explores the principles of Ayurveda in managing cardiovascular health, focusing on hypertension and coronary artery disease (CAD). Integrating Ayurvedic principles with modern medical interventions can potentially provide comprehensive care for cardiovascular conditions. The paper discusses the etiology and pathophysiology of hypertension and CAD from both Ayurvedic and conventional perspectives. It then examines the Ayurvedic concepts of doshas, dhatus, and malas in relation to cardiovascular health. The role of diet, lifestyle modifications, herbal remedies, and yoga in managing hypertension and CAD according to Ayurveda is explored. Furthermore, the paper discusses the evidence-based approaches and challenges in integrating Ayurveda with modern cardiology for improved patient outcomes. It concludes by emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts between Ayurvedic practitioners and conventional healthcare providers in managing cardiovascular diseases.
