Vol 1, No 2 (2022): The Concept of Koshtha in Ayurveda and Its Role in Panchakarma
Authors: Omkar Katkar, Ashish Girahiya
Abstract: Life's science is ayurveda. The shodhana chikitsa includes the panchakarma procedure. Because a disease that is treated with shodhana therapy will never recur, shodhana chikitsa is preferable to shaman chikitsa. The Panchakarma assessment factors are Koshtha, Agni, and Bala. There are two ways to define the word "koshtha." The nature of the digestive tract or hollow body parts, known as koshtha, represents the movement of food and faeces in the alimentary canal as well as the elimination of stool. The most crucial Panchakarma procedure is koshtha shodan. For Panchakarma therapy, Koshtha assessment is crucial because the dosage of Shodhana drugs depends on the type of Koshtha. Samyak shodhan won't happen if Koshtha Assessment isn't done correctly.

Vol 1, No 2 (2022): A Conceptual Analysis of Mukhadushika: The Case of Acne Vulgaris
Authors: Dr. Akshay Ankalikar, Vijay Mourya, Chaitanya Inamdar
Abstract: Sushruta explains Mukhadushika under Kushudrarogas. It is distinguished by Shalmali Kantka sadrush Pidaka on the face. It is related to acne vulgaris, as defined by current science. When acne is not treated at an early stage, it worsens and leaves lasting scars, which emotionally depresses the individual and makes their face insecure. As a result, there is an urgent need to combat this illness efficiently and prevent it from worsening, hence preventing the emergence of new lesions.

Author: Dr. Jeejo Chandran. O
Abstract: Back ground -
Pakshaghata is a debilitating disease for which Ayurvedic modalities are very good for the rejuvenation and rehabilitation of the disabled muscles and nerves. Abhyanga, a is an important Ayurvedic treatment method, which has multiple benefits. It is believed that Abhyanga a type of Baahya Snehana, could be effective in the rehabilitative aspects of Pakshaghata treatment.Â
Study Design and Methodology-
A comparative clinical study. Forty patients having Pakshaghata were selected and randomly divided into two groups with 20 patients each. Group A was treated with Abhyanga using Narayana Taila and Group B with Murchhita Tila Taila for one week. Patients were assessed immediately after completion of the treatment and on the 14th day after a period of proper rest.
Objectives of the Study
- To study the effect of Abhyanga with Narayana Taila and Abhyanga with Murchhita Tila Taila in Pakshaghata.
- To compare the effect of Abhyanga with Narayana Taila with Abhyanga with Murchhita Tila Taila.
- To develop effective techniques of Abhyanga in Pakshaghata rehabilitation and cure.Â
RESULTS
Subjective Parameter Assessment
Abhyanga with Narayana Taila(Group A) showed statistically significant (P<0.01) improvement compared to Abhyanga with Murchhita Tila Taila ( Group B )
Objective Parameter Assessment
Results in Group A was similar to (P>0.05) that in Group B.
Overall Improvement of Pakshaghata
Improvement after Abhyanga with Narayana Taila and Abhyanga with Murchhita TilaTaila were similar (P>0.05).
CONCLUSION
Overall improvement of parameters assessing Pakshaghata treatment was noted following Sarvanga Abhyanga treatment with gentle massage pressure using both Narayana taila and MurchhitaTilaTaila; although statistically significant relief was noted only for subjective symptoms. Thus it was concluded that Abyanga treatment with gentle massage pressure was an effective treatment modality for improving weakness from Pakshaghata. Abhyanga with Narayana taila was found to be better than MurchhitaTilaTaila in patients with Pakshaghata and it resulted in statistically significant symptom relief.

Vol 1, No 1 (2022): Analyzing the Rasayana Tantra Healing Technique
Authors: Dr. Akashra Lokhande, Tushra Meheto
Abstract: Rasayana chikitsa is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda. It is also known as jara-chikitsa (anti-aging treatment) in Ayurveda. The goal of Ayurveda is to not only diminish the symptoms of sickness but also to eliminate it entirely. 'Prevention is preferable to cure.' Ayurveda prevents this lifestyle condition by nidan parivarjana, panchkarma, Rasayana chikitsa, and adhering to pathya-apthya. The notion of Rasayna-chikitsa as a branch is important not only in old age but should be started at an early level.
The current article explained the Rasayana-chikitsa, epidemiology, kinds, methods, and its effect on the body in detail.

Lifestyle disorders are becoming more common in day today practice, among them Hypertension is also noted ,it results from variety of reasons like stress, obesity, lack of exercise, lack of proper diet, etc. Hypertension is the excessive pressure exerted by blood vessels while flowing through them due to which heart has to work harder for pumping blood through the body because of which heart may get enlarged & also damaged. Hypertension is the psychosomatic disorder which is not directly mentioned in Ayurvedic classics. We are unable to get it from ancient classics in scientific manner, where in we can co-relate Hypertension as Raktagata vata, Raktavritta vata, Raktavata, Dhamani prapurnata & Dhamani pratichaya etc. In Ayurveda there is concept of unknown vyadhis as to study the nature of disease through Dosa, Dooshya & Samprapti, so in this article an effort is made to understand the concept of Hypertension in Ayurvedic view.
