Abstract: Ayurveda,one of the oldest medical systems, has significantly contributed to the field of surgery through its specialized branch, Shalya Tantra. This paper explores traditional Ayurvedic surgical techniques, their theoretical foundations, practical applications, and innovations in modern medicine. We examine the principles of Shalya Tantra, comparative analyses with contemporary surgical practices, and the potential integration of these techniques into modern healthcare. This study highlights the efficacy of Ayurvedic surgical methods, their benefits in minor and parasurgical procedures, and their role in holistic patient care. The findings indicate that Ayurveda's ancient practices possess valuable insights for modern surgical innovations.
