Panchabhautika Analysis and Rog Nidaan Stratification of Gall Stone Disease Prior to Shalya Tantra Intervention
Abstract
Gall stone disease, traditionally mapped to pittaja a?mari in Ayurveda, represents one of the most common abdominal surgeries worldwide. This investigation classifies 150 symptomatic cholelithiasis cases according to panchabhautika dominance via rog bala, dosha bala, and dh?tu bala scoring. Using ultrasonography and biochemical panels as validation, researchers correlated v?yu prithvi dominant phenotypes with multiple small pigment stones, whereas ?p tejas predominance aligned with solitary cholesterol stones. Decision trees built on Rog?Nidaan variables predicted the need for open versus laparoscopic cholecystectomy with 82?% accuracy. Such predictive granularity influences Shalya?Tantra planning, instrument selection, and post operative pakvashaya ?amana strategies.
