Abstract:Catalysis plays a crucial role in enabling sustainable chemical processes by improving reaction efficiency, selectivity, and reducing energy consumption. This paper reviews recent advances in the design, synthesis, and characterization of catalysts for sustainable chemical processes. Various strategies for catalyst development are discussed, including the use of novel materials, surface modifications, and tailor-made catalytic architectures. Additionally, the paper highlights the importance of catalyst characterization techniques to understand catalytic mechanisms and optimize catalyst performance. Finally, case studies are presented to illustrate the successful application of advanced catalysts in sustainable chemical transformations.
