Abstract:-Â A detergent composition is classified according to the raw chemicals used, which include surfactants, builders, bleaching agents, enzymes, and minors that remove dirt, stains, and filth from surfaces or fabrics while also providing a pleasant feel and odour. The history, composition, kinds, mechanism, how laundry detergents operate, environmental implications, and usage of laundry detergents are all covered in this review study. This page also discusses the usage of enzymes, particularly lipases, as detergents, as well as the many types of lipase-containing detergents on the market. This paper discusses the use of microbial lipases in detergents, which can help to lessen the environmental impact of detergent products because the chemicals used in traditional detergents are biodegradable, non-toxic, and leave no unwanted residues. Other enzymes, in addition to lipases, are commonly utilised in domestic cleaning goods, laundry, medicine, and agriculture.
