ABSTRACT
The increasing demand for renewable energy has prompted the widespread adoption of photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy systems. Efficient integration of these renewable sources into the grid requires advanced power conversion systems capable of handling variable voltage and frequency characteristics. This paper presents a comprehensive review of power converters used in PV and wind energy applications, focusing on grid-connected and standalone systems. Various converter topologies, control strategies, and integration techniques are discussed with emphasis on efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The paper also highlights emerging trends, challenges, and future research directions in renewable energy conversion technology.
