It provides a comprehensive review of the current literature, identifying key technologies like cloud computing, edge computing, and 5G networks as critical enablers. The paper also discusses the challenges associated with IoT implementation, including data security, interoperability, and scalability, and suggests potential solutions. Furthermore, the scope and potential of IoT in improving operational efficiency and decision-making are highlighted, along with future trends and developments in the field.
