Abstract:Â Over the last decade, the widespread use of Internet of Things (IoT) designs and applications in a variety of areas has pushed research on low-power wireless networking protocols. Furthermore, various standards have been created, emphasising the need of allowing data to flow between different communication protocols and network interfaces. As a result, devices such as Gateways (GWs) play an important part in many IoT applications and will have an influence on future advancements and possibilities. The design and implementation of a new modular and scalable GW architectural solution is provided in this article, which is suited for a wide range of use case situations and may be used as a starting point for numerous future upgrades and applications. The role of distinct interfaces in specific use situations where the suggested approach might be deployed is addressed based on experimental performance findings.
