Abstract:Â Inspection of fabric is important in the textile industry. Fabric inspection is mandatory as it reveals the quality of fabric. The present method of human-eye inspection is prevalent in many fabric industries. This visual inspection method is inefficient and tedious. The fault detection system proposed in this paper is based on the digital image processing performed using MATLAB. The defects in the fabric are identified using image processing technique and given as input to the Fuzzy controller and are classified into three different categories based on the presence of fault. The classification helps us to use the clothes efficiently.
