Authors:Â Keerthana Kamath A, Kirti G Sawant, Rita G Naik, Srisha S Anvekar
Abstract: The aim of the project is to enable the visually impaired people to smoothly navigate with the help of buzzers. Ultrasonic Navigation for Visually Impaired is the multidisciplinary project with computer science, electronics engineering and health science which helps the blind people to navigate with speed and confidence by detecting the nearby obstacles using the help of ultrasonic waves and notify them with a buzzer sound. It allows visually impaired individuals to travel through familiar and unfamiliar environments without the assistance of guides or a stick. One of the main peculiarities of this device is that it will be affordable. It will be equipped with ultrasonic sensors, consisting of a module. Using the sensor, visually impaired can detect the objects around them and can travel easily. When the sensor detects any object, it will notify the user by a beep sound. The device also contains a heartbeat sensor which keeps a track of the blind person’s heartbeat. In case the heartbeat crosses the threshold value, the caretakers will be notified with an SMS on their phone about the person’s location. The caretakers can also receive a notification about the person’s location and can track them if required using an android application. The android application also lets the blind person to receive the messages on his/her phone in the form of audio. This is an automated device. Thus, this device will be of a great use for the blinds and help them travel different places.

Abstract:Â There are several possibilities of fire in any remote area or in an industry. For instance, in garments, go downs, cotton mills, and fuel storage tanks, electric leakages may result in immense fire & harm. In the worst of cases & scenarios, fire causes heavy losses both financially and by taking lives. Robotics is the best possible way to guard human lives, wealth and surroundings. The control circuitry of the robot is built on Arduino UNO. There are four fire sensors interfaced in the control circuitry in the forward, left, right and back side of the robot. A motor is attached on the robot which will actually simulate the functioning of a water pump. This is a prototype model. Apart from the component's interfacing in the circuit, the main significance is of the Arduino sketch running on the controller circuit. It is the Arduino sketch which provides the software intelligence to sense fire intensity using fire sensors, move robot in the direction where fire intensity is more and increase or decrease speed of motor pump. The Arduino sketch is written and compiled using Arduino IDE.
Vol 3, No 1 (2018): Automated Speed Control Using Throttle Valve
Author:Â Dr L. Suresh Kumar
Abstract: Intelligent instruments are used in every part of our lives. It won’t take much time to realize that most of our tasks are being done by Electronics. They will perform one of the most complicated tasks that a person does in a day, that of driving a vehicle. As the days of manned driving are getting extremely numbered, so are those of traffic jams, dangerous and rough drivers and more importantly, accidents. According to Mr Willie D. Jones in the IEEE SPECTRUM magazine (September 2001), a person dies in a car crash every second. Automation of the driving control of vehicles is one of the most vital needs of the hour. This technology can very well implement what was absent before, controlled lane driving.Â
The ultimate aim of this project is to automatically control the speed of the vehicles at speed restricted areas such as school and hospital zone etc. This project is mainly developed to avoid accidents due to high speed vehicles and also to enable the public to cross the road without any danger from high speed vehicles. Usually the drivers drive the vehicles at high speed without considering the public in speed limited areas too. Even though the traffic police control them we cannot achieve full response from them. Also it is not possible to monitor those areas at all time to regulate their speed. Thus this project paves way for controlling the speed of the vehicles within certain limit in those restricted zones without the interruption of the drivers. Here we use RF communication method for controlling purpose. In order to implement this in public then we want to attach the RF receiver along with the vehicle and the Transmitter with these Zones. These transmitters are programmed to send the coded signals continuously with certain delay in between. Whenever the vehicles enter into these zones their receivers will receive this code and then the speed of the vehicles is controlled automatically by taking control action in the throttle valve. This will reduce the over speed to the desired speed limit.
Vol 3, No 1 (2018): Advanced War Robot
Authors:Â Anirudh Manaria, Kamal Pandey, Aasheesh Kumar, Dr. Farooq Husain
Abstract:Â To enable the successful deployment of task-achieving advanced war robot systems the interactions must be coordinated among the robots within the MTS and between the robots and the task environment. There have been a number of impressive experimentally demonstrated coordinated MTS; however, most have been designed through ad hoc procedures, typically providing taskspecial, empirical insights with few contributions toward greatly needed general-purpose, principled design methods. Modern military forces are using different kinds of robots for different applications ranging from mine detection to rescue operations. In order to make robots efficient for the unpredicted cluttered environment of the battlefield, research on different aspects of robots are under examination in laboratories to be able to do its job autonomously, as efficiently as a human operated machine can do.

Authors:Â Spurthy Talakala, M. Hari Krishna
Abstract:Â Generally in critical case patients are supposed to be monitored continuously for their Heart Rate as well as temperature. In the earlier methods, the doctors need to be present physically or in several cases SMS will be sent using GSM. In the earlier case the history of the patient cannot be displayed, only current data is displayed. In the current paper, we are using a novel idea for continuous monitoring patient's health conditions. The health care scheme is focus on the measurement and Monitoring various biological parameters of patient's body like heart rate, oxygen saturation level in blood and temperature using a web server and android application, where doctor can continuously monitor the patient's condition on his smart phone using an Android application and also the patient history will be stored on the server and doctor can access the information whenever needed from anywhere and need not physically present. Using several sensors to measure different vital signs, the person is wirelessly monitored within his own home. Impact sensor has been used to detect falls. The device detects if person is medically distressed and sends an alarm to a receiver unit that is connected to a computer. This sets off an alarm allowing help to be provided to the user.
Vol 2, No 2 (2017): Implementation of Self Cancellation and High Power Amplification to Reduce ICI and PAPR in FH-CDMA
Author:Â Suri V S Lalitha Madhuri
Abstract:Â With the rapid growth of digital communication in recent years, the need for high speed data transmission is increased. Moreover, future wireless systems are expected to support a wide range of services which includes video, data and voice. OFDM is a promising candidate for achieving high data rates in mobile environment because of its multicarrier modulation technique and ability to convert a frequency selective fading channel into several nearly flat fading channels. Now OFDM is being widely used in wireless communications standards, such as IEEE 802.11a, the multimedia mobile access communication (MMAC), and the HIPERLAN/2. However, one of the main disadvantages of OFDM is its sensitivity against carrier frequency offset and high PAPR which causes intercarrier interference (ICI). This paper deals with design of an OFDM mechanism in a wireless technology and implementation of double frequency hopping in CDMA to overcome inter channel interferences.

Vol 1, No 1 (2016): Power Quality Enhancement & Mitigating Neutral Current in 3P4W Distribution System with DSTATCOM Using TIES
Authors:Â T. Rakesh, Dr. V. Madhusudhan, Dr. M. Sushama
Abstract:Â Three-Phase four-wire distribution systems face severe power quality issues like poor voltage regulation, high reactive power and harmonics current burden, load unbalancing, excessive neutral current, etc. This creates excessive neutral current each of elementary and harmonic frequency and also the neutral conductor gets full. By integration section shifting into an especially low zero section sequence electric resistance electrical device with single or multiple outputs, substantial reduction of triplen, fifth and seventh harmonics may be achieved. During this Paper the various TIES (Transformer connections) mitigate the neutral current and also the VSC compensates Harmonic current, reactive power, and balances the load. TIES configuration for interfacing to a three-phase four-wire power distribution system and also the needed rating of the VSC is reduced. The insulated gate bipolar junction transistor (IGBT) primarily based VSC is supported by an electrical device and is controlled for the desired compensation of the load current. The DSTATCOM is valid victimization MATLAB code with its simulink and power grid block set toolboxes.
