Abstract: The rapid growth of electric vehicles (EVs) presents both challenges and opportunities for modern power systems. This paper explores the current trends in EV technology, charging infrastructure, and their impact on power grids. It examines the challenges associated with integrating EVs into the power system, such as increased demand, load management, and grid stability. The paper also discusses the opportunities that EVs present for enhancing grid flexibility, supporting renewable energy integration, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, it highlights the role of smart charging, vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies, and policy measures in facilitating the successful integration of EVs into the power system.
