Abstract:- The paper proposes a method for minimizing transmission network losses using artificial neural network (ANN) and flexible alternating current transmission system (FACTS) devices. The method is based on the prediction of optimal settings for FACTS devices using ANN. The proposed method is tested on the IEEE 30-bus test system, and the results show that the proposed method can effectively reduce transmission network losses.
