Abstract:-Â This study describes a novel switching z-source multilevel inverter that is powered by a solar source. When a power electronic switch is added to a traditional z-source network, it provides great voltage boosting capacity with a moderate power rating, making it suited for low voltage photovoltaic applications. In comparison to typical five-level designs, the suggested topology has fewer switches and passive parts. It consists of a single DC source, six power switches, two diodes, four capacitors, and two inductors. Using a modified modulation index of a multi carrier level shifted PWM approach, this scheme generates a voltage waveform with fewer harmonics and a lower THD %. The proposed switched z-source multilevel inverter is developed using MATLAB software, and the results are shown to validate the scheme's benefits.
