Emerging Trends in Electric Vehicle Infrastructure and Charging Technologies
Abstract
The rapid growth of electric vehicles (EVs) is driving significant changes in electrical engineering, particularly in the design and deployment of charging infrastructure. This paper explores the latest trends in EV charging technologies, including fast-charging stations, wireless charging solutions, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) integration. It examines how power electronic converters, energy storage systems, and smart charging algorithms work together to enhance efficiency, reduce grid impact, and optimize charging times. The paper also discusses the role of renewable energy integration in supporting EV infrastructure and the challenges of grid stability and load management.
