Abstract:The advent of 5G technology promises revolutionary advancements in communication and networking capabilities, enabling high-speed data transmission, ultra-low latency, and the Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity. However, along with these benefits come a plethora of security challenges that need to be addressed to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data and services in 5G networks. This paper discusses the key security challenges faced by 5G networks and presents potential solutions to mitigate these threats, focusing on authentication, encryption, privacy, network slicing, and IoT security.
