Abstract: This paper explores the critical role of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) in enabling and enhancing Rapid Prototyping and Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies. Rapid prototyping and 3D printing have revolutionized various industries by offering innovative design possibilities and efficient manufacturing processes. CAM plays a pivotal role in translating digital designs into physical objects, optimizing production workflows, and ensuring quality control. This paper investigates the integration of CAM with rapid prototyping and 3D printing, its impact on design iteration, cost effectiveness, and time savings, and discusses emerging trends and challenges in the field.
