AI-Driven Optimization In Computer Aided Manufacturing Processes

Author: Dr. Arjun Mehta ,Ms. Riya Sharma

ABSTRACT: The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) has transformed traditional manufacturing processes into intelligent, adaptive systems. AI-driven optimization enhances efficiency, accuracy, and productivity by automating decision-making and process control. This paper explores the application of AI algorithms such as machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning in optimizing CAM operations. Key areas include tool path planning, predictive maintenance, quality control, and resource allocation. The study also presents a comparative analysis of AI techniques with conventional methods, highlighting benefits and challenges. A case study on AI implementation in CNC machining is discussed to illustrate practical advantages. Finally, the paper addresses future trends and the potential of AI to revolutionize manufacturing with smart factories and Industry 4.0 integration.*

KEYWORDS: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Aided Manufacturing, Optimization, Machine Learning, CNC, Predictive Maintenance
