ABSTRACT:The integration of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) with energy-efficient automation strategies has transformed modern manufacturing into a highly productive, sustainable, and precise industry. CAM-driven processes, when optimized for energy consumption, not only lower operational costs but also reduce environmental impact. This paper presents an in-depth analysis of methods to implement energy-efficient automation in CAM-based manufacturing, focusing on intelligent tool path planning, adaptive feed rate control, smart machine scheduling, and the role of Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT-enabled monitoring and AI-driven predictive maintenance. The proposed framework integrates advanced algorithms with real-time energy monitoring to achieve significant reductions in power usage without compromising on productivity or quality. Case studies from diverse manufacturing sectors, such as automotive, aerospace, and precision engineering, demonstrate potential energy savings of up to 25%. The research underscores that the convergence of CAM automation with sustainable manufacturing practices is crucial for achieving long-term competitiveness in the global industrial landscape.
