Analysis and Development of Light Commercial Vehicle Wheel

Authors:- Ravi Rawat, Prof. Smriti Srivastava

Abstract:-A contemporary vehicle wheel is described as a circular component meant to revolve on an axle bearing. Original equipment manufacturers use cutting-edge technology to develop and manufacture wheels in order to meet market demands. Computer aided design (CAD) software and analysis software are the primary technologies that greatly aid in the creation of wheel rims. We used CAD and analytic technologies to their utmost ability in our work. CATIA is used to model the wheel, which is then loaded into ANSYS for analysis. ANSYS software is used to reproduce the various powers, weight following up on the segment, and determine and review the results. In ANSYS programming, a solver mode calculates the bending moments, stresses, and deflections without manual mediation, reducing the time compared to the method for scientific counts by a person. ANSYS static analysis work is performed on SAPH 440 materials with variable geometry (proposals 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) and their relative performances are noticed. Observing the results in this article, Proposal 6 has satisfied the criterion and is recommended for prototyping.
