From Isolated Systems to Intelligent Ecosystems: Evolution of Intelligent Computing through Technology Convergence

ABSTRACT
The field of computing has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving
from basic computational systems to highly intelligent and autonomous
platforms. This evolution has been largely driven by the convergence of
advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things
(IoT), Big Data, Cloud Computing, Edge Computing, and Blockchain.
Technology convergence has enabled the integration of diverse systems, leading
to the development of intelligent computing environments capable of real-time
decision-making and adaptive learning. This paper explores the evolutionary
journey of intelligent computing, highlighting key technological milestones,
integration frameworks, and modern applications. It further examines the
benefits and challenges associated with this convergence and outlines future
directions for research and innovation.
