Authors: Priya Saxena, Aman Gupta

Abstract: Social media has emerged as a pivotal platform for promoting health awareness within communities. Its widespread use, reach, and real-time accessibility enable health organizations, professionals, and individuals to share essential health information effectively and engage in health promotion activities. This paper examines the role of social media in raising community health awareness, highlighting its benefits, challenges, and future potential. The discussion encompasses the ways in which social media enhances accessibility to health information, promotes preventive healthcare, and facilitates interaction between health professionals and the public. However, issues such as misinformation, privacy concerns, and accessibility limitations present challenges that need to be addressed to maximize social media’s impact on community health.
