Abstract:- Patient safety and quality improvement are fundamental components of modern nursing practice. With increasing complexities in healthcare systems, ensuring patient safety has become a global priority. This paper explores the principles, strategies, and challenges associated with patient safety and quality improvement in nursing. It emphasizes the role of nurses in minimizing medical errors, improving care standards, and enhancing patient outcomes. Various models, tools, and frameworks used in quality improvement are also discussed. The study concludes with recommendations to strengthen safety culture and continuous improvement in healthcare settings.
