Abstract
Infectious disease outbreaks pose significant threats to public health and require a coordinated response from various healthcare professionals. Community health nurses play a crucial role in managing and mitigating the impact of infectious disease outbreaks at the local level. This paper explores the multifaceted responsibilities of community health nurses during outbreaks, including surveillance, education, vaccination, contact tracing, and community engagement. It also discusses the challenges and opportunities faced by these nurses in their vital role in protecting and promoting the health of the community.
