Application of Artificial Intelligence in Smart Grid Management

Abstract: The rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have opened up new avenues for the development and optimization of smart grid management systems. Smart grids represent a modernized electrical grid that utilizes information technology, automation, and AI to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of power systems. This paper explores the application of AI techniques in the management of smart grids, focusing on their role in load forecasting, fault detection, energy management, and demand response. Through the integration of AI algorithms such as machine learning, neural networks, and reinforcement learning, smart grids can optimize the generation, distribution, and consumption of electricity. This paper also discusses the challenges, benefits, and future perspectives of AI in smart grid management.
