Protocol Stacks in Communication Systems

Author: Nilesh Singh, Naman Kumar.

Abstract: Communication systems rely on well-defined sets of rules and conventions to facilitate the exchange of information between entities. These rules are organized into protocol stacks, hierarchical structures that govern the flow and format of data across a network. This paper explores the fundamental concepts of protocol stacks, their importance in communication systems, and the key protocols within popular protocol stacks. Additionally, it discusses the layered architecture, advantages, and challenges associated with protocol stacks.

Keywords:  Protocol Stacks, OSI Model, TCP/IP Model, Layered Architecture, Communication Systems, Data Transmission, Network Protocols, Internet Protocol, Modularity, Interoperability.
