Abstract: Oral controlled-release drug delivery systems have emerged as transformative solutions in the management of diabetes, addressing limitations of traditional therapeutic methods. This paper reviews advances in formulation technologies that enhance the efficacy, stability, and bioavailability of oral controlled-release systems specifically for diabetes management. A comparative analysis of recent innovations, including biodegradable polymers, nanotechnology applications, and patient-friendly designs, demonstrates the critical role of these technologies in improving patient adherence and maintaining optimal glycemic control. This study provides insights into ongoing research and future potential of controlled-release oral therapies in diabetes treatment, aiming to optimize therapeutic outcomes and minimize adverse effects.
