Abstract: Collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) is a clinical condition in mice used to evaluate rheumatoid arthritis. In order to induce CIA in mice, an emulsion of full Freund's adjuvant and type II collagen is specially injected into them. This study discusses arthritis and the use of collagen to induce arthritis.
