Abstract: The Satvik diet, rooted in Ayurvedic principles, emphasizes the consumption of pure, wholesome, and minimally processed foods. This paper examines the role of a Satvik diet in preventing lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity through the lens of Swasthavritta (Ayurvedic preventive healthcare). By fostering physical and mental balance, the diet aligns with Ayurveda's holistic approach to wellness. The study highlights specific dietary components, their physiological effects, and how they contribute to long-term health. A comparative analysis with modern dietary practices is also discussed, showcasing how ancient wisdom can be integrated into contemporary health strategies.
