Abstract: Yoga, an ancient practice originating from India, has gained recognition as a complementary therapy for cancer patients. This paper explores the potential benefits of yoga in managing various aspects of cancer treatment and its associated side effects. Through an extensive review of existing literature, this paper discusses the physiological and psychological effects of yoga, its role in improving quality of life, reducing symptoms, and enhancing overall well-being among cancer patients. Furthermore, it examines the safety and feasibility of incorporating yoga into cancer care, providing insights into its potential mechanisms of action. Additionally, this paper outlines practical considerations for implementing yoga programs in oncology settings and emphasizes the importance of further research to establish evidence-based guidelines for its use as a complementary therapy in cancer care.
