The Significance of Seasonal Changes in Swasthvritta Ritucharya (Seasonal Regimen) in Ayurveda

Authors: Jayant Rastogi, Dr. Mayank Purohit

Abstract: Ayurveda, the ancient system of medicine that originated in India over 5,000 years ago, places great emphasis on the interplay between human health and the natural environment. One of the key aspects of this relationship is the concept of Ritucharya, or seasonal regimen, within the broader framework of Swasthvritta (healthcare). Ayurveda recognizes that the human body's constitution and susceptibility to diseases vary with the changing seasons. This paper delves into the profound significance of Ritucharya in Ayurveda, highlighting its role in maintaining optimal health and preventing disease by aligning human behaviors and practices with the rhythms of nature.
