Abstract


Hygiene has always played a vital role in maintaining health and preventing diseases. In Ayurveda, hygiene is not only limited to physical cleanliness but extends to mental, social, and environmental well-being. This paper explores the concept of hygiene in Ayurveda, the various practices recommended for personal, domestic, and community cleanliness, and how these practices are relevant in modern times. The study emphasizes the role of Ayurveda in promoting preventive health care, disease management, and sustainable living. Despite advances in modern medicine, many Ayurvedic hygiene principles remain relevant, offering simple and cost-effective ways to prevent illnesses and promote holistic wellness.
