Abstract: Large-scale data mining has emerged as a powerful approach for extracting meaningful insights from massive data repositories. However, the rapid growth in data volume and variety raises significant ethical concerns, including privacy violations, algorithmic bias, data misuse, and lack of informed consent. This paper examines the key ethical challenges faced during large-scale data mining and proposes mitigation strategies, such as transparent algorithms, legal compliance, and ethical frameworks. By emphasizing responsible data practices, the paper advocates for a balanced approach that leverages technological capabilities while protecting user rights and social values.
