Abstract
With the increasing integration of renewable energy sources and the growing demand for efficient power distribution systems, the presence of harmonics in electrical machines has become a significant concern. Harmonics can lead to a range of issues such as voltage distortion, increased losses, and reduced machine efficiency. This paper provides an overview of harmonic analysis and mitigation techniques for electrical machines in power distribution systems. It discusses the sources of harmonics, their effects on electrical machines, and various mitigation strategies to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of these machines.
