Intelligent Braking System Design for Enhanced Vehicle Safety and Performance in Hill Station Environments

Abstract

The design of an automatic braking system for vehicles in hill stations is of great importance to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers. This paper proposes a system that uses a combination of ratchet and pawl, along with an infrared reverse motion sensor, to automatically apply the brakes when the vehicle is parked on a hill. The system offers several advantages, including improved safety, ease of use, and reduced wear and tear on the brakes. However, it also has some disadvantages, which are discussed in detail in this paper. Overall, the proposed automatic braking system offers a promising solution to the problem of hill station parking safety.
