ABSTRACT
In process control, the nonlinear process poses a stiff challenge as it can't be controlled by the conventional P+I+D linear controller. In this paper, a model predictive control algorithm is proposed whose design is based on fuzzy logic controller in order to achieve conical tank level control. The process reaction curve method was used to recognize a first order process model for every stable operating point and MATLAB was used to for its real time implementation in simulink. The results of this experiment show that the control scheme proposed in this paper result in good set point tracking disturbance rejection capability.
