Abstract: Chronic diseases like diabetes, arthritis, and asthma pose significant challenges in modern healthcare systems. The traditional Ayurvedic approaches of Samshodhana (purification) and Samshamana (palliation) offer a holistic methodology for managing such long-term conditions. This paper explores the synergistic effects of these two therapies, focusing on their role in detoxification, dosha balancing, and symptom management. By examining the scientific basis and clinical applications, this study demonstrates how combining purification and palliation can lead to more effective and sustainable chronic disease management.
