Abstract: Samshamana, a crucial aspect of Ayurvedic healing, focuses on palliative measures to balance the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—without inducing significant eliminative measures. This treatment modality is ideal for individuals suffering from chronic ailments where detoxification therapies may not be suitable. This paper delves into the various Samshamana methods such as herbal medications, dietary modifications, and lifestyle interventions that aid in pacifying doshas and alleviating symptoms of chronic diseases. The approach emphasizes maintaining equilibrium in the body through continuous management, offering a holistic approach to well-being.
