Abstract: Urban mobility is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for a large portion of energy use and environmental pollution in cities. As global urbanization accelerates, the need for sustainable and low-carbon transportation becomes urgent. This paper explores a variety of low carbon urban mobility strategies, ranging from public transportation enhancement and non-motorized transport infrastructure to smart mobility solutions and electric vehicle adoption. It evaluates the effectiveness of these strategies in reducing carbon footprints, improving urban livability, and fostering inclusive, resilient communities. The paper also highlights policy recommendations and urban planning frameworks that support a transition to a cleaner urban transport system.
