Abstract:  Public transportation plays a pivotal role in shaping the social, economic, and spatial dynamics of modern urban environments. This paper explores how public transportation infrastructure influences urban growth, improves accessibility, and fosters economic prosperity. It examines various case studies, identifies major challenges, and discusses future opportunities in integrating public transport with urban planning strategies. The study highlights how well-designed and inclusive transportation networks can reduce urban sprawl, enhance mobility, and drive inclusive economic development.
