Advancements in Electric Vehicle Technology: Improving Performance and Sustainability

Dr. Rakesh Verma

Abstract

Electric vehicles (EVs) have emerged as a crucial alternative to conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, reducing dependency on fossil fuels and lowering carbon emissions. The continuous advancement in battery technology, power electronics, and charging infrastructure is pushing EVs toward greater efficiency and adoption. This paper explores recent breakthroughs in lithium-ion and solid-state batteries, advancements in fast-charging networks, and the role of artificial intelligence in optimizing EV performance. Additionally, it discusses the integration of regenerative braking and energy recovery systems to enhance efficiency. The study also evaluates government policies and industry trends shaping the future of electric mobility. By addressing current challenges such as range anxiety, battery degradation, and recycling concerns, this research aims to provide insights into how EV technology is evolving towards a sustainable future.
