Abstract
Digital prototyping has emerged as a transformative approach in modern product development, offering a virtual platform to design, test, and optimize products before physical manufacturing. Integrating digital prototyping with defect reduction techniques enables engineers and designers to anticipate potential issues, minimize production errors, and improve product quality and reliability. This paper explores the principles, tools, methodologies, and applications of digital prototyping in various industries, with a particular focus on defect detection and reduction strategies. Case studies from automotive, aerospace, and electronics industries highlight the practical benefits and challenges of adopting digital prototyping. The research further examines the role of simulation, virtual testing, and predictive analytics in enhancing product quality. The findings suggest that organizations adopting these strategies achieve faster time-to-market, lower costs, and improved customer satisfaction.
