Abstract
Nanomaterials and nanotechnology have emerged as transformative technologies in modern manufacturing. With dimensions at the nanoscale, these materials exhibit unique mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties that conventional materials cannot achieve. The integration of nanotechnology in manufacturing processes has led to enhanced material performance, energy efficiency, and the creation of innovative products. This review explores the types of nanomaterials commonly employed, including nanoparticles, nanocomposites, and carbon-based nanomaterials, along with their synthesis methods. Applications in machining, coating, additive manufacturing, and electronics are discussed. Challenges related to scalability, cost, and environmental impact are also highlighted. The study concludes by emphasizing the potential of nanotechnology to redefine manufacturing paradigms in the coming decades.
