Abstract: In this paper, stress analysis of a body subjected to external forces is presented with regards to different planes of the system. Cubical elements are the main topic of analysis here on which normal and shearing stresses are tested. The normal stress on a principal plane is also called the principal stress. The principal stress in a coordinate system of a particular orientation and with a specific positioning is studied.
