Holistic Relief through Homeopathy: Management of Migraine and Chronic Headache
Abstract
ABSTRACT Migraine and chronic headache disorders are among the most common neurological complaints affecting millions globally. They substantially reduce quality of life, impair work productivity, and create social and emotional burdens. Conventional management generally includes analgesics, triptans, beta-blockers, antidepressants, and lifestyle regulation. However, prolonged drug dependence may lead to medication overuse headache, adverse effects, and incomplete relief. Homeopathy offers an individualized therapeutic approach based on totality of symptoms, constitutional tendencies, mental emotional characteristics, and trigger factors. The present paper reviews the role of homeopathic therapeutics in the management of migraine and chronic headache, discusses commonly indicated remedies, case-taking principles, miasmatic background, and supportive lifestyle measures. It also highlights the integration of homeopathy with preventive care and patient-centered management. Clinical experiences and literature suggest that individualized homeopathic prescriptions may reduce frequency, intensity, and recurrence of headaches while improving general well-being. Further controlled studies are required to validate outcomes scientifically.
